Field Service Engineer – National

Salary: £45,000 OTE (guaranteed minimum £31,200 per annum.)

Are you looking for the opportunity to work with the UK’s sole Importer and National Distributor of the SAMUK forklift trucks?

The Forklift Company Ltd is a family business totally committed to providing its customers with the best value forklifts available in the market. We offer New Samuk forklifts with most of our counterbalance machines being manufactured by our partner in the Hyster-Yale Maximal facility in China. We also have an ever-growing Hire Fleet and customer base.   

Our remarkable growth means we now have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled, field-based service engineer to join our service team. Customer service is at the very heart of our business, we strongly believe that success relies on our employee’s ability to really understand the needs and experiences of each customer, your goal will be to give our customers a great impression, and first-class service.  

You will be travelling nationally, dealing face-to-face with our customers, handling Forklift breakdowns, repairs & services, offering technical support and delivering outstanding service. As an engineer you will be given full technical support from our in house Service Department.   

We are a company that continually develops our employees, we are looking for someone who will apply their industry skills and knowledge. Applications from individuals within the following sectors will be welcomed: Breakdown Recovery, Mobile Mechanic, Garage/Car Mechanic, Heavy Plant Mechanic, Agricultural or HGV Mechanic.   

Full training will be provided to enable you to transition to the Forklift Industry role via a staged training programme, but you will need to be enthusiastic, dedicated, proactive and most importantly have an eye for detail.   

We offer:

• A highly competitive base salary of £31,200 with the opportunity to earn up to £45,000 per annum.

Candidates must have:  

• Proven experience in Mechanics  
• Full UK Driving Licence  
• Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels  
• High standards, flexibility, and attention to detail
